Gene decided to go to Taos last night for a Native Plant Society meeting and then stay overnight and this morning he headed for the Valle Vidal. This is a wilderness area north of us and east of Taos that is about 100,000 acres of pristine forest/rivers/mountains. They allow no mule deer hunting and fishing is for Cut Throat Trout but only catch and release. He got up early this morning and headed out for that drive. It's about 3 hours on a two lane gravel road and said it was absolutely as beautiful as we've been told. Here are some pictures he took along the way.
