Recalculating....

We were given a Garmin GPS last night by our Bible study group...do you think they want to make sure we leave or are they kind and generous and want to make sure we get to the right Las Vegas?! What a great gift and one we already love. Linda used it today to get to the grocery store and never got lost! But she did irritate the "voice" when she took her own route and not the one the "voice" told her to take. Then this woman would say, in a fairly obnoxious tone "recalculating"...it's gotten to be a joke already!

Tonight we went to Dulce's with Mike and Steve, our neighbors, for dinner and took along the GPS. Oh my, the "voice" was not happy.... Steve ignored most of her directions... and we all had lots of laughs and lost track of how many times she had to "recalculate".

Dulce's was once located down on Beach Drive (near Alki Beach) and we loved it. Used to take our company there for breakfast and one day we went...and they were gone... moved to another part of town. But we followed them to the new location. However, we haven't been there for several years so it was fun to be back. Mike and Steve introduced us to this wonderful restaurant and so we decided to take them to dinner tonight to say thanks for 16 years of being great neighbors and sharing our lives. We had great food and were welcomed so warmly by Julie and Carlos. And we discovered that they have another restaurant called "Saffron" where they serve breakfast and Julie makes her fabulous muffins. Planning on going there Saturday morning!! So we came home without the GPS and no snotty woman telling us she resents the fact that she had to "recalculate"!
