Well, we're not there yet but we're heading towards it. Our little 5-acre ranchette awaits us next month.. Still no definite move date but hopefully we'll hear this weekend! We're flexible and have been busy packing and packing and cleaning and fixing...and falling asleep really really fast at night!
Gene has all the new closet doors stained and ready to install but we'll wait to put them up until each closet is cleaned out and ready.... he did a little repair work on the deck today as the sun was shining...yes, really, it was...and is supposed to for a couple of days. I managed to nearly get my sewing room all packed and got most of the old wallpaper border off too. Just getting really tired of walking around all the boxes and packing papers and of course, the dog has to be in the middle. Poor Levi...he just doesn't understand what is happening. I keep telling him he's going along but of course you can't use the "ride" word out loud as he gets all excited - so I just say he's going on a journey!!
New development - we are probably going to drive down in my car when the trucker comes and gets our stuff and then after we unload and get settled a bit, Gene will fly back to Seattle and hire a crew (we're hoping some of the neighbor boys) to paint and finish the clean up. A friend of ours who has a cleaning company will come in and do a final clean after all is done. That way we'll make better time going down and we don't have to try to work the logistics of painting and carpeting etc while the floors are covered with boxes!!! Not sure how I will like being in NM by myself, with Levi, but it'll be another adventure!!!!!!!!!!!!!
