We have decided to head south in April and take a trailer with some large, bulky but lightweight things to the house. Will take a bed so we can stay there and some of Gene's taxidermy and whatever else we can fit into the trailer and SUV. Of course there must be room for Mr Magnificent, who will get to see his new house for the first time. Not going to have time to get the yard fenced for him until we move in June/July but we'll take a long lead to hook him up outside. Hoping he won't be allergic to all the dust and sunshine etc down there. So far we've not had any of the Westie skin problems the breed is prone to. Time will tell. Anyway, it'll be a fun trip and then on the way back we'll stop at Zion/Arches/Bryce Natl Parks...and also to see our friends, Kathy and Mont, in Oregon. And Baxter..their Westie. So I'm trying to pack a few things... few being the operative word. But my mind is busy sorting and planning...does that count!
Have 4 of the 12 blocks stitched and going to start on the 5th one today.... gets tedious changed thread all the time to match the pieces...and satin stitching is boring but the results are good.
I just need to keep in mind the fact that this quilt will be a focus of the great room decor in the new house and that makes me sit down at the Bernina and work.
