We finally are getting the taxidermy out of the boxes and onto walls!! Took time today to hang up the gorgeous white tail and antelope trophies that Gene has and they look terrific over the fireplace. As Gene said, "I finally feel like this is becoming home with our things in the great room". We got the stereo system hooked up and working in there also. Now if we could only figure out how some of the lights work!! There are two ceiling fans that are really nice but we can't get them to turn on, and there are other switches that must be there for some reason but so far we ain't figured it out! Going to ask our electrician to give us a quote for straightening out all the wiring mysteries. Never a dull moment around here.
Gene is out in the corral right now with the chain saw cutting wood...there were some dead trees out there that he's cut down and is now cutting into the correct size for the fireplace. Winter is coming...but the weather is gorgeous...sunny, about 76 degrees.
And I'm heading to my studio (aka sewing room) to trim the edges of my pot quilt and start sewing on the binding!!
